Irish Flag and Proclamation

Members of the Irish Army attended the school recently and were guests at a special assembly where they presented the school with a copy of the Proclamation from the ‘1916 Rising’ in English and Irish. Also presented to the school was a new Tricolor which the school will raise on March 15th  2016 on what is being called ‘Proclamation Day’. On this day all schools in the state will raise their flags and read out the Proclamation. The children sang Isle of Hope and The National Anthem beautifully.
