Who are we?
The Parents Association is made up of the parents of children who attend Scoil Chaitríona. We hold a few meeting during the year which are about 30 to 40 minutes long.
What do we do?
We are there as an extension of support for the school and assist not only in fundraising but in supporting many events. .
Our fundraising includes:
Our purpose is to raise funds to help provide extra resources and support activities within the school environment. All monies raised are put back into the school for the following:
What else do we do?
During the year we provide refreshments for
We rely greatly on support from local businesses and the community of Cappamore who have been very generous throughout the years. Last year our Secretary Clodagh and her husband Shane, raised €8,000 euro for the new ASD
Unit, which was greatly supported by the local community. Well done to them both.
What is our aim this year?
This year we are helping the school purchase iPads for the class rooms. Centra , O Dwyers and Hayes vouchers have been kindly donated by these businesses for our Christmas Draw. All monies collected from the draw will be given towards these iPads.
We would like to thank all the parents who have helped us throughout the years and those in the parish who continue to support our fundraising. While this year we have not been able to plan too much in the line of fundraising we hope that we will be able to have our school walk towards the end of the year.
What can you do?
We would encourage as many parents as possible to get involved in the Parents Association especially new parents to the school. Not only are we doing something worthwhile and supporting our children’s education but we are also building friendships and bonds in our community. So please come along to our next meeting, whether via zoom or in person and we look forward to seeing you there.
