A Fabulous Friday in Scoil Chaitríona 23/9/'22 Last Friday Scoil Chaitríona celebrated it's Opening of the Year Mass and Mercy Day, to honour the contribution the Mercy Sisters have made to Cappamore and to our school since it was established 123 years ago. Our children sang their hearts out and filled the church with song and joy. All our boys and girls did us so proud at mass and were accompanied on the organ by our talented teacher - Ms. Armitage. As a special treat for the children, Ger's Mobile Farm came to visit the school and all the children were thrilled to be petting the rabbits and chickens, feeding the pig and sheep and taking the donkey and dog for a walk around the yard. It certainly was a Fabulous Friday.

Roald Dahl Day September 13th
We had so much fun celebrating Roald Dahl day again this year. We were amazed at the level of detail parents and children and even teachers put into their costumes. What a glorious day we had celebrating with Matilda, Miss Honey, Ms Trunchbull, Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood, Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe, Willy Wonka, The BFG and Sophie, the Fantastic Mr and Mrs. Fox and all the farmers. Well done to one and all - it was Whoopsy Whiffling Frothbuggling day!!!!!
Next Tuesday the 13th of September is Roald Dahl Day and we will be immersing ourselves in activities based on the books of Roald Dahl. We encourage you make home made costumes to add to the day. Check out this website for ideas: https://www.theschoolrun.com/roald-dahl-dressing-up-costumes
